Itinerary Program:
We will greet you warmly upon your arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport and escort you to your private vehicle. We will begin our grand journey with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, positioned right over the Atlantic Ocean waves with breathtaking marble tilework and a towering minaret. Afterward, we will take a smooth drive along the coastal highway to Rabat, the modern capital of Morocco. We will check into a charming boutique riad and spend a peaceful evening enjoying fresh local cuisine as you adjust to your travel schedule.
We will explore Rabat’s historic treasures after breakfast, including the Hassan Tower, the Royal Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the oceanfront Kasbah of the Udayas. Next, we will travel inland toward the well-preserved ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where an expert guide will show us remarkably detailed mosaics and stone archways. Continuing into the green slopes of the Rif Mountains, we will arrive in Chefchaouen by late afternoon. We will check into a cozy mountain riad and enjoy a relaxed evening strolling through its quiet blue-painted streets.
We will dedicate our morning to capturing stunning family photos along the cobblestone pathways and blue doorways of Chefchaouen. You will have plenty of time to enjoy fresh orange juice at local outdoor cafes around Outa el-Hammam square before we depart. In the early afternoon, we will take a scenic drive through rolling hills and olive groves toward Fes, the intellectual and spiritual heart of Morocco. We will check into an exquisite luxury palace riad inside the ancient medina, where we will spend our next two restful nights.
We will spend our full day exploring the medieval labyrinth of Fes el-Bali alongside a knowledgeable private local historian. We will admire the gold-plated doors of the Royal Palace, walk through the historic Mellah Jewish Quarter, and visit the historic 9th-century Al-Qarawiyyin University. From panoramic viewing balconies, we will watch traditional leathercraft at the famous Chouara Tanneries and see master potters creating intricate mosaic tiles. Every corner offers a rich educational experience that will enchant travelers of all ages before we return to our riad for dinner.
We will leave Fes after breakfast and head south into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture. We will pause in the cedar forests of Azrou to meet friendly wild Barbary macaque monkeys before descending through the breathtaking palm-filled Ziz Valley. By late afternoon, we will reach the golden sands of Merzouga, where we will mount gentle camels for a sunset trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will spend an incredible night in a luxury desert camp with private bathrooms, hot showers, and campfire music.
We will wake early to watch a sunrise over the sand sea before enjoying a hot, freshly prepared breakfast at our desert camp. After returning from the dunes, we will visit a local nomadic family to share traditional mint tea and learn about life in the desert. Next, we will drive toward the massive limestone walls of Todra Gorge, taking an easy walk along the cool riverbed between the 300-meter-high canyon walls. Continuing along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, we will arrive in the lush Dades Valley and check into a boutique kasbah hotel for dinner.
We will travel through the fragrant Rose Valley toward Ouarzazate, famously known as the gateway to the Sahara and home to world-renowned film studios. We will enjoy a private tour of Kasbah Aït Benhaddou, an iconic mud-brick UNESCO World Heritage site featured in movies such as Gladiator. Afterward, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, stopping for panoramic photo opportunities along the way. We will descend into the vibrant red city of Marrakech by late evening and settle into a luxury medina riad.
We will spend our day discovering the architectural highlights of Marrakech accompanied by an expert local guide. We will visit the ornate halls of Bahia Palace, admire the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, and explore the historic Saadian Tombs. In the afternoon, we will wander through shaded pathways in the colorful artisan souks where craftsmen fashion leather, copper lanterns, and spices. At sunset, we will visit the world-famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square to see musicians, storytellers, and vibrant food stalls before returning to our tranquil riad for rest.
We will keep this day open and flexible so your family can enjoy Marrakech at your own comfortable pace. We can visit the stunning, peaceful Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in the morning. Afterward, you will have plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing traditional Moroccan hammam spa treatment, join a tagine cooking class, or simply shop for handcrafted souvenirs in the medina. In the evening, we will gather for a memorable farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the illuminated city skyline.
We will enjoy a calm, delicious breakfast at our riad on the final morning of our 10 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca. Depending on your travel plans and flight schedule, we will organize a smooth private transfer directly to Marrakech Menara Airport or back to Casablanca Mohammed V Airport.
