Our 8 Days Tour Itinerary :

Itinerary Program :

We will begin our 8 Days Desert Tour from Fes by leaving the imperial city behind and heading toward the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before visiting the cedar forest where we may see the playful Barbary macaques. We will continue through Midelt and enjoy scenic views of the Ziz Valley, famous for its thousands of palm trees. As we get closer to Merzouga, the landscape will slowly change into golden dunes. After arriving, we will ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes and watch a magical desert sunset before spending the night in a traditional desert camp under the stars.

Today, we will discover the many hidden treasures of the Merzouga Desert. We will visit traditional Berber villages, meet local nomadic families, and learn about their unique way of life in the Sahara. We will also stop in Khamlia village to enjoy live Gnawa music and experience one of Morocco’s richest cultural traditions. Later, we will visit nearby desert landscapes, fossil sites, and peaceful palm groves before returning to our hotel. This relaxing day gives us plenty of time to enjoy the beauty and quiet atmosphere of the Sahara Desert.

After breakfast, we will leave the desert behind and travel toward the spectacular Todra Gorge. Before reaching the canyon, we will stop in Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional market and rich desert heritage. We will continue through small Berber villages until we arrive at the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge, where we will enjoy a relaxing walk beside the river. Later in the afternoon, we will drive through the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before reaching the beautiful Dades Valley, where we will spend the night surrounded by impressive rock formations.

We will continue our journey through some of southern Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes. Our first stop will be the fragrant Rose Valley, followed by the palm oasis of Skoura, where ancient kasbahs blend perfectly with nature. We will then visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages and a popular filming location for many international movies. After exploring the kasbah, we will cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in vibrant Marrakech for the evening.

Today we will explore the highlights of Marrakech with a knowledgeable local guide. We will visit famous landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the colorful souks of the old medina. We will also spend time in the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where storytellers, musicians, food stalls, and local performers create a unique atmosphere. Throughout the day, we will discover the city’s rich history, beautiful architecture, and vibrant culture before enjoying a relaxing evening at our riad.

After breakfast, we will head to the charming Atlantic town of Essaouira for a refreshing day by the sea. Along the way, we may stop to see the famous argan trees and learn how local women produce Morocco’s well-known argan oil. Once we arrive, we will explore the peaceful medina, the historic fishing port, and the old city walls overlooking the ocean. We will enjoy fresh seafood, walk along the beach, and soak up the relaxed coastal atmosphere before returning to Marrakech in the evening.

Day 7: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip – Marrakech

Today, we will enjoy one of the most popular day trips from Marrakech as we travel to the breathtaking Ouzoud Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Morocco. We will pass through beautiful olive groves and traditional villages before reaching this natural wonder. Once there, we will have plenty of time to walk along the scenic trails, admire the cascading waterfalls from different viewpoints, and even take a small boat ride to get closer to the falls. We may also spot the friendly Barbary macaques that live in the surrounding forest. After enjoying lunch with stunning waterfall views, we will return to Marrakech in the late afternoon for our final overnight stay.

On the last day of our 8 Days Desert Tour from Fes, we will enjoy a relaxed morning in Marrakech before your departure. Depending on your flight time, we will have free time to wander through the colorful souks, visit a nearby café, enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast, or pick up some last-minute souvenirs.
