Our 6 Days Tour Itinerary:

Itinerary Program :

Our adventure of 6 days  Morocco desert tour begins in the vibrant city of Fes. After picking you up from your accommodation, we’ll set off toward Merzouga, traveling through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, enjoy stops in charming towns like Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to playful monkeys.

Continue our drive through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and old kasbahs. As we reach the golden dunes of Merzouga by evening, get ready for a warm welcome at your desert hotel. Relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere before dinner.

After having breakfast, we will get ready to start an explorative journey of the area by using a Quad bike, which is a great chance to ride one if you have never done so, in a trek that lasts about one hour across the Erg-Chebbi dunes. Then we will head to the Gnawa association to enjoy a piece of spiritual music from another dimension.

Not far away, there’s the lake of Merzouga, known with its beautiful birds. If time permits, we may also have the chance to visit the souk of  Rissani village (traditional market), then we go back to Merzouga to spend the night at the camp.

We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the stunning sunrise of the Sahara Desert and its amazing, peaceful vibes. After breakfast and a hot shower in the camp, you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to get the route towards Dades Valley, where you’ll stay the night.

We will pass through clusters of palm trees and Berber villages towards the Todra Gorges. When we get there, we will walk up the Gorge and enjoy being surrounded by such a splendid view of amber rocks. Then finish our journey at the Hotel in the Dades Valley.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive through the Dades Valley,  known as the  Road of 1000 Kasbahs. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city,” famous for its annual festival of roses, continue to Skoura, then pass by Ouarzazat, the  “Hollywood of Africa,” where some of the most famous movies have been filmed ( Sheltering Sky, Gladiator, and Prince of Persia).

Afterward, we’ll drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in the area. It has magnificent views of the surrounding palms. Before heading to Marrakech via the Tizi n’tichka path, we’ll stop to visit the town of Telouet and its ancient 17th-century Kasbah.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning guided tour of Marrakech, “the Red City of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see all the sites with historical and cultural interest, including the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace …

You will also get to walk through the medina alleys and get the chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square to enjoy watching different people doing what we call “ Lhal9a “.

On the last day of this Adventure, we will get to savor a leisurely breakfast at the hotel/Riad. Depending on your flight time, you might have a bit more time to stroll through Marrakech’s streets or pick up a few last-minute souvenirs. When you’re ready, your driver will take you to the airport for your departure. As you head home, you’ll carry with you wonderful memories of Morocco, from golden deserts and majestic mountains to rich culture and warm hospitality.

Frequently Asked Questions: 6 Days Fes Marrakech Desert Tour

Merzouga is located approximately 480 kilometers (300 miles) from Fes, which translates to about 7 to 8 hours of driving through the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains and Ziz Valley. The journey is an adventure in itself, with breathtaking views, cedar forests, and traditional Berber villages along the way. We include comfortable, air-conditioned transportation and frequent stops to stretch, take photos, and enjoy the scenery.

The camel ride to the desert camp lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, the perfect duration to experience the magic of the Sahara without becoming uncomfortable. Our camels are well-trained, docile, and equipped with padded saddles for your comfort. The timing is carefully planned, so you arrive at the camp just in time to witness the spectacular sunset over the dunes.

The tents are comfortable and perfect for a nice sleep. The toilets and showers are shared with the whole camp.

  • Luxury desert camp :

Luxury desert camps are definitely the best choice if you’re looking for a more exclusive and memorable stay in the desert.

Luxury camps are the best in offering premium comfort with spacious tents. Private bathrooms, different kinds of bed sizes ( king beds, double beds, twin beds, or single beds), and offering enhanced amenities like electricity, and Wi-Fi(though it may be limited due to the remote location).

From the  essentials you don’t want to forget when you packing to Morocco:
